Set Design

White screen: Will project images with train tracks onto the white screen so that the audience can be more engaged in the setting. This will also help to show location. white screen will be used through out the scene in each scene to project different scenarios and tense build up and to make it clear to the audience where the actors are at the time and place. Also, reinsures the actors as well where they are through out the play.

Stone Bridge:    (scene 10) we will used the white screen to project more images of stone bridges. we will used sounds of water and birds.

Train Tracks:    At the back we are going to put on the white screen to show the train tracks to make sure that people who come and see it understand the place the actors/characters  are at in the scene.

Inside a House (Linda's house):  We will use a sofa, a little  table in front of the sofa with a lamp on the top, in order to show the audience it's a living room and help them get better view for the setting. Also,

Foster Home:  In the stage it will be a washing line, with some chairs to symbolize beds and on the chairs there will be a blanket with a pillow.

UAL Level 2 Week 23

After nearly 3 weeks of holidays, we started the class with a new play which it's called 'Burn, I really like the play even though we have to learn a lot of lines, this could be a challenge for me as my  English is my second language, but I feel that it will improve my skills as an actor. I would like to play the character of Sal. Sal is a little girl who have 9 years old, Aron is her bigger brother.

Week 23 April 20th-21st

On Thursday 20th
we started the class with something new, Rob gave us a new script who is call Burn. Everyone read part of it. After that Rob asked which play we want to play. I  chose Sal, because I really like her character as she is so adorable and a curious little girl.
On Friday 21st
At the start of the class we was reading  the play of Burn and Then we spent the hole class practising the scripts.

                                       Week 26- June 2017

Monday 5th June 2017
Today we didn't go to Blog Session because we have to make sure that we know every single line in the play since we just have 10 days left to perform the play Birdman. Some of us didn't know the lines so we continue practicing, specially scene 9, 10 and the last scene.

This is the grass,  this is gonna be in the scene of the park. As you can see, we put some of logs, leaves and a green blanket. In this way we can make it look like a park. Its gonna be difficult to deal with it, since its's a bit small and in some scenes 3/4 people have to be sitting in the same grass, but in the end we will get used to it.

In this image we can see The River. We put large rocks and long trunks with a big blue blanket to represent the water. This will be very necessary for the performance as the majority of the scenes its gonna be in the river.

Tuesday 6th June 2017
Acting lesson: At the beginning of the lesson we started practicing all the scenes. We just practice the scenes that we had to improve. I think we have to improve a lot in some scenes in particular, since some people do not know their lines so that slows us down a lot.

Thursday 8th June 2017

  • Today we just saw a play in the theatre. Since we didn't had Acting Lesson.

Friday 9th June 2017:
Blog Session: Starting the lesson writing in our blogs. Becca gave us the poster that we had done before

 Burn Evaluation

The first day that we read the play script. I was dissatisfied
